Abstract

The main goal of this paper is to consider the most represented ideas about the connection between sports and Orthodoxy in the scientific papers of contemporary researchers in the Serbian intellectual and academic space. The content analysis method and the historical method were used in the paper. The paper will list the most influential personalities and relevant literature in the context of the mentioned ideas in the 19^th, 20^th and 21^st centuries, as well as the most important organizations that promote the significant connection between sports activities and Orthodoxy in the Republic of Serbia.
